Ripple is expanding its relationship with Brevan Howard, with Ripple Prime set to provide multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to funds managed by the roughly $35 billion alternative investment firm. The agreement gives Brevan Howard access to Ripple Prime’s multi-asset clearing, financing, and prime brokerage infrastructure across supported traditional and digital asset products.

Brevan Howard specializes in global macro and digital assets and manages money for institutional investors including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and endowments. The deal expands an existing relationship between the two companies.

Ripple Prime Expands Role With Brevan Howard

Ripple Prime will provide clearing, financing, and prime brokerage across multiple asset classes and products. Prime brokers typically combine services such as trade clearing, financing, and collateral management for hedge funds and other institutional investors.

Brevan Howard Group COO Alan McGroarty said the platform could simplify parts of the firm’s investment operations.

“Ripple has built a differentiated platform that we expect will provide our investment teams with increased operational ease and capital efficiency.”

The companies did not disclose the size of the financing relationship, which funds will use Ripple Prime or how much activity will move through the platform.

Brevan Howard Already Has Ties to Ripple

Funds managed by Brevan Howard affiliates participated in Ripple’s $500 million strategic investment round in November 2025. That funding round valued Ripple at $40 billion.

The latest agreement extends that relationship from investment exposure into operational infrastructure. Brevan Howard also runs BH Digital, its dedicated digital asset investment division.

Hidden Road Deal Built Ripple Prime

Ripple entered large-scale prime brokerage through its $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road in 2025. Hidden Road was later renamed Ripple Prime, giving Ripple a business spanning foreign exchange, digital assets, derivatives and fixed income.

Ripple says the platform now clears more than $3 trillion annually and serves more than 300 institutional customers. Ripple Prime also secured a $200 million debt facility in May to expand margin lending and other prime brokerage services.

The Brevan Howard agreement adds another large institutional relationship to Ripple Prime’s business. Ripple has not disclosed whether XRP, RLUSD or any specific digital asset will be used through the arrangement.
