Open Standard has selected Chainlink as the official data oracle for Open USD, giving the newly launched OUSD stablecoin access to market and pricing data for payments, trading and decentralized finance applications.
OUSD went live on Sept. 30 across Base, Ethereum, Solana, and Tempo. Chainlink’s integration will support functions including collateral valuations, foreign exchange conversions and automated treasury activity.
Chainlink Feeds Support OUSD Trading, Lending, and Collateral Markets
Chainlink Data Feeds will provide pricing inputs for OUSD-based lending, margin calculations, liquidations, automated market maker pools and yield vaults.
For payments, Chainlink can supply fiat-to-OUSD conversion rates for merchant settlement and cross-border transfers.
Chainlink said its data could also support treasury smart contracts that automatically rebalance OUSD into yield-bearing assets under predefined rules.
Bridge Issues OUSD Across Four Blockchain Networks
OUSD is issued by Bridge, the Stripe-owned stablecoin infrastructure company. Businesses can mint and redeem the token at a one-to-one dollar rate through supported integration providers.
Open Standard says reserves are held at BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY, with monthly attestations planned.
OUSD is available through BVNK, Stripe and Visa integrations, with Coinbase support starting Oct. 1.
More Than 200 Companies Join Open Standard Network
Open Standard says more than 200 financial institutions, fintechs, banks and global businesses have joined its network.
Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe and Visa are founding partners, with more than $1 billion in near-term launch liquidity committed across the network.
Chainlink’s role gives those participants a shared oracle layer for OUSD pricing and market data as the stablecoin expands across payments, trading and DeFi applications.
