Chainlink Data Feeds Go Live on Tempo
Chainlink Data Feeds are now live on Tempo, giving developers and financial institutions access to on-chain market prices for stablecoin payments, lending, and treasury applications.
The September 3 integration adds external pricing infrastructure to Tempo’s live mainnet, allowing applications to value collateral, compare foreign exchange rates and apply automated risk controls.
Data Feeds Provide Collateral and FX Pricing on Tempo
Tempo applications can use Chainlink feeds to calculate collateral values, set borrowing limits and monitor whether positions remain sufficiently backed. Payment and treasury products can also compare transaction quotes with reference FX rates or convert positions into a common reporting currency.
The feeds provide market data rather than executing trades or payments. Applications decide how to use incoming prices, with resulting transactions executed and settled on Tempo. Developers can access supported feeds and their contract addresses through Chainlink’s integration documentation.
Chainlink Nodes Aggregate Prices From Multiple Sources
Chainlink Data Feeds combine pricing information from multiple data providers through independent node operators rather than relying on a single exchange or market source.
Smart contracts on Tempo can use the resulting reports for applications involving collateral management, treasury operations and tokenized assets.
Tempo has not disclosed how many applications are already using the feeds or identified a production product relying on them.
Tempo Adds Chainlink Pricing After Morpho Lending Rollout
Tempo launched its mainnet earlier this year as a Layer 1 blockchain focused on stablecoin payments. Stripe and Paradigm incubated the network.
The blockchain has since added infrastructure for financial applications beyond payments, including Morpho lending markets in May.
Chainlink Data Feeds now add external market pricing to that infrastructure. Chainlink and Tempo have not disclosed transaction volumes linked to the feeds or named institutions already using them in production.
