BitMine Adds 17,362 ETH as Holdings Cross 6 Million
- BitMine Immersion Technologies acquired 17,362 Ether over the past week, lifting its total holdings above 6 million ETH for the first time.

BitMine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR) acquired another 17,362 ETH over the past week, lifting its Ethereum holdings above 6 million ETH for the first time. The additional Ether was worth about $46.8 million at the $2,698 reference price used in BitMine’s Sept. 28 update. The company did not disclose the actual average purchase price for the latest acquisition.
BitMine Ethereum Holdings Reach 6 Million
BitMine held 6,001,302 ETH as of Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. ET. At the Coinbase reference price cited by the company, the position was valued at roughly $16.2 billion.
BitMine said its holdings represented about 4.9% of Ethereum’s approximately 122.1 million-token supply at the time. Using that supply estimate, BitMine said it was about 98% of the way toward its stated goal of holding 5% of Ethereum’s supply. Chairman Tom Lee said BitMine has continued buying Ether every week since launching its ETH treasury strategy in June 2025.

More Than 5 Million ETH Is Staked
BitMine reported 5,067,309 ETH staked as of Sept. 27, representing about 84% of its total Ether holdings. The company valued the staked position at approximately $13.7 billion using the same reference price.
BitMine said its current staking activity implies about $358 million in annualized staking income based on recent yields. The figure is a company projection and can change with staking participation and Ethereum network rewards.
Total Holdings Rise to $17.2 Billion
BitMine valued its combined crypto, cash, marketable securities and disclosed equity investments at $17.2 billion. Alongside its Ether position, the company reported 213 Bitcoin, $672 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $115 million investment in Eightco Holdings.
Lee also reiterated his view that institutional investors remain underweight crypto and could increase exposure during the final months of 2026. That remains BitMine management’s market outlook rather than a confirmed institutional allocation trend.
