Robinhood Plans 10x Crypto Perpetuals

Robinhood plans to launch crypto perpetual futures for eligible U.S. customers in the coming months, offering leverage of up to 10x on Bitcoin and Ether and up to 3x on six other tokens.

The contracts will give users long and short exposure without expiration dates, bringing a derivative format widely used on international crypto exchanges into Robinhood’s U.S. trading platform.

Bitcoin and Ether Perpetuals Will Offer Up to 10x Leverage

Robinhood will initially support perpetual futures tied to BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK and HYPE. Bitcoin and Ether contracts will offer leverage of up to 10x, while SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA, LINK and HYPE will be capped at 3x.

Traders will be able to set stop-loss and take-profit orders, monitor liquidation prices in real time and receive alerts when positions approach liquidation. Unlike dated futures, the contracts will remain open until traders close their positions or they are liquidated.

Bitstamp Will Support Robinhood’s U.S. Perpetuals Product

The contracts will be offered through Robinhood Derivatives and supported by Bitstamp, the crypto exchange Robinhood acquired for $200 million in 2025. Robinhood Derivatives is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as a futures commission merchant and is a member of the National Futures Association.

Robinhood plans to charge a 0.01% fee per trade through the end of 2026. The company has not announced an exact launch date beyond saying eligible U.S. customers will gain access in the coming months.

U.S. Rollout Follows Robinhood’s Overseas Perpetuals Expansion

Robinhood already offers access to perpetual futures outside the United States. Its European crypto business introduced the products in 2025, while Robinhood Wallet added perpetual trading through decentralized exchange Lighter in selected jurisdictions this year.

The planned U.S. product will instead sit directly inside Robinhood and route through Bitstamp.

The rollout remains subject to customer eligibility requirements, with Robinhood expected to provide final availability details closer to launch.
