Bitdeer Technologies Group has secured a 65.1-megawatt AI Cloud facility at its Johor Bahru campus in Malaysia under a 10-year data center services agreement. The company also estimates the potential contract value of its active AI Cloud commercial pipeline at more than $7 billion, although the figure is not contracted revenue or backlog.

Johor Campus Expands to 86.8MW

The new A202 facility is expected to energize in the third quarter of 2027. It sits alongside Bitdeer’s existing 21.7MW A201 facility, bringing planned AI Cloud capacity at the Johor campus to 86.8MW.

A202 is designed for liquid-cooled, rack-scale NVIDIA systems, including GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin platforms. Bitdeer said the site can support both GPU cloud services and data hosting. Chief Financial Officer Michael G. Potter said:

“The signal from customers is unambiguous: demand for liquid-cooled, rack-scale AI Cloud capacity in 2027 is running well ahead of what the market can supply.”

$7B Pipeline Is Not Contracted Revenue

Bitdeer estimates its active AI Cloud pipeline at more than $7 billion. The company defines the figure as management’s estimate of potential contract value from opportunities under commercial discussion.

Bitdeer says the pipeline is not backlog, revenue, an executed contract or a binding commitment. The estimate depends on assumptions covering capacity, contract duration, pricing and service mix.

The company has not entered into customer offtake commitments for either A201 or A202. A201 is in advanced negotiations, while discussions for A202 remain at an earlier stage.

Secured AI Capacity Reaches 206.5MW

Including A202, Bitdeer says it now has about 206.5MW of secured AI Cloud data center capacity across Malaysia, Norway, and the U.S. That represents roughly 59% of the 350MW upper end of Bitdeer’s AI-ready capacity target for the first quarter of 2028. The target remains forward-looking and depends on site readiness, financing, customer demand and equipment delivery.

Bitdeer expects A202’s expected contract economics per megawatt to be broadly consistent with its 9.5MW A102 facility in Malaysia. A102 has five-year customer commitments representing more than $800 million in expected revenue, with services expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
