MeshWallet Raises $10M to Expand Gasless USDT Wallet On TRON
- MeshWallet secured a $10 million private funding round to expand its self-custodial USDT wallet on TRON.
- The wallet lets users send USDT without keeping a separate TRX balance for network fees.
- MeshWallet has not published completed security audit results alongside its funding announcement.
MeshWallet has announced a $10 million private funding round to expand its self-custodial USDT wallet on TRON, which lets users send the stablecoin without keeping a separate TRX balance for network fees.
The Tallinn-based company said the round was led by private investors and small family offices. It did not identify individual backers, disclose its valuation or specify how much each investor contributed.
USDT-Paid Fees Remove Need to Keep TRX
Standard TRC20 USDT transfers require TRON network resources that users commonly pay for with TRX, the blockchain’s native token.
MeshWallet instead settles the transaction cost in USDT, meaning the sender does not need to acquire and maintain a separate TRX balance. The underlying network fee still exists despite the product being described as gasless.
The wallet currently focuses on TRC20 USDT rather than offering swaps, NFTs or a wider token catalogue. Users can hold, receive and send USDT through the mobile app.
Private Keys Stay On Users’ Devices
MeshWallet operates as a self-custodial wallet. Its website says seed phrases are generated on the user’s device and are not backed up to company servers or transmitted to MeshWallet.
The company also makes its core cryptographic and signing logic open source and offers the wallet through Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
MeshWallet says two independent security audits are underway, but it has not published completed audit results alongside the funding announcement.
$10M Round Targets Product and User Expansion
MeshWallet said it plans to use the funding to expand its product roadmap and build out its user ecosystem, targeting both individuals and businesses that make USDT payments.
The raise comes as TRON handles substantial stablecoin activity. Messari reported that the network processed $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers during the second quarter of 2026, while circulating USDT on TRON ended the quarter at $87.9 billion.
MeshWallet has not published a detailed timetable for its planned new features. Its current product remains focused on letting users hold, receive and send TRON-based USDT without maintaining TRX separately for transaction fees.
