Banxa Launches Native Infrastructure for Embedded Stablecoin Payments

Crypto payments provider Banxa has launched Banxa Native, a new infrastructure product designed to let wallets, exchanges, and fintech apps handle fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat transactions without sending users to a separate Banxa checkout. The product launched on August 20 and is aimed at making stablecoin settlement work behind existing consumer-facing payment experiences.

Banxa describes Native as “headless” infrastructure, meaning partner platforms retain control of their own interface while Banxa handles regulated payment rails, compliance, and settlement in the background. Users can therefore remain inside the app they are already using instead of being redirected to a third-party screen.

Banxa Native Keeps Payments Inside Partner Apps

The Native API covers real-time pricing, identity and KYC checks, eligibility, bank transfers and transaction updates. Banxa also provides software development kits for React Native, JavaScript, iOS and Android, supporting card payments as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Platforms that already verify customers can share identity information with Banxa, allowing eligible users to avoid repeating some verification steps where permitted. Banxa Chief Product and Growth Officer Shaun Heng said:

“Stablecoins quietly power settlement behind the scenes while consumers continue using familiar currencies and platforms.”

Some Payment Methods Still Require Redirects

The experience is not fully embedded for every payment method. PayPal, iDEAL, Klarna, PIX and several other local options still require customers to move into Banxa’s hosted checkout during the payment step.

Partner platforms also need their own user accounts, backend infrastructure and KYC process to use the Native model. That makes the product primarily infrastructure for established wallets, exchanges, and fintech businesses rather than a standalone consumer payment application.

Banxa Expands Stablecoin Payment Infrastructure

Banxa says its wider infrastructure supports more than 400 platform integrations and has served over 10 million users globally. The company also reports processing more than $10 billion in cumulative transaction volume across cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.

Native extends that business by moving more of the payment process behind partner interfaces. Its practical impact will depend on whether the reduced redirects and reusable verification process improve how users complete crypto and stablecoin transactions.
