Zerohash Launches AUTH to Replace Manual Wallet-Address Entry
- Zerohash launched AUTH on Oct. 19 to enable digital asset transfers between linked accounts without manual wallet addresses or blockchain selection.
- The tool provides more than 600 connections across custodial accounts and self-custody wallets, including live integrations with Coinbase, Robinhood and Gemini.
- Platform configurations determine which connections and transfer types customers can access, meaning the network directory does not ensure universal support.
Zerohash announced AUTH on Oct. 19, offering participating platforms account-linked crypto transfers without manual wallet-address entry or blockchain selection. Platforms integrate the tool into their applications for customer deposits and withdrawals.
AUTH was available in beta for Zerohash’s Account Funding product by Aug. 3. The October announcement presented AUTH as an authentication and account-linking product, but did not specify which capabilities became newly available that day.
AUTH Connects Exchange Accounts and Self-Custody Wallets
Zerohash announced AUTH at Money20/20 USA in Las Vegas. The company says it offers more than 600 connections across custodial accounts and self-custody wallets.
Its network directory lists Coinbase, Robinhood and Gemini as live institutional-account connections, while Kraken is marked as beta. It also lists 639 wallets. Available accounts, assets, networks and transfer types depend on the platform offering AUTH.
AUTH Requires Users to Approve Transfers
Within a participating application, users select an account or wallet and complete its authentication requirements. They grant permission to link the account, with multifactor authentication required where applicable.
Users then select an available asset, review the transaction details and approve the transfer. Zerohash’s documentation says each verified customer links their own external account and authorizes every transaction.
The assets move on-chain, while AUTH handles network routing behind the scenes. The supported flows cover cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and tokenized assets.
AUTH Supports Fiat Funding and Direct Crypto Transfers
AUTH powers deposits and withdrawals within Zerohash’s Account Funding and Crypto Transfers products. The two options determine whether transferred cryptocurrency becomes a fiat balance or remains cryptocurrency on the receiving platform.
Account Funding allows customers to deposit cryptocurrency that converts into a fiat balance, or withdraw from a fiat balance as cryptocurrency sent to a linked account. Crypto Transfers supports direct cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals, keeping the platform balance denominated in cryptocurrency throughout.
