Bitcoin ETFs Shed $643 Million, Erasing Four Days of Inflows
- U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $643.2 million in net outflows on Friday.
- BlackRock and Fidelity funds accounted for over two-thirds of the total withdrawals.
- The redemptions erased earlier weekly inflows and pushed the monthly total negative.
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $643.2 million in net outflows on Friday, Oct. 30, ending a four-session run of inflows, Farside Investors’ data show.
BlackRock and Fidelity funds accounted for more than two-thirds of the exit. Friday’s redemptions erased the week’s earlier inflows and left the group $202.4 million in the red.
BlackRock and Fidelity Lead the Withdrawals
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) recorded $233.7 million in net outflows. Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) followed with $201 million.
Together, the two accounted for $434.7 million, or about 68% of Friday’s net withdrawals. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) added another $129.5 million in outflows. Its redemptions made up roughly a fifth of Friday’s net outflow.
Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC) recorded $53.3 million in net redemptions, while Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB) lost $25.7 million. Five funds recorded net outflows, while the other seven finished with zero net flows.
Friday Pushes the Week and Month Into the Red
The funds had attracted a combined $440.8 million from Monday through Thursday. Daily inflows reached $176 million on Tuesday before slowing to $17.2 million on Thursday.
Then Friday took back more than the previous four sessions had brought in. Net outflows for Oct. 26–30 reached $202.4 million.
IBIT recorded inflows in each of the preceding four sessions, totaling $410.6 million. It still finished the week with $176.9 million in net inflows, despite its Friday withdrawal. FBTC ended the week with $166 million in net outflows.
ARKB had posted zero net flows in all four preceding sessions. Friday’s $129.5 million exit was its entire weekly net outflow.
Friday’s withdrawal was the largest since June 25, when the funds saw $691.7 million in net outflows. It also exceeded October’s previous high of $635.6 million on Oct. 22. The month had been $127.3 million positive through Thursday but ended with a total of $515.9 million in net outflows.
On Monday, Nov. 2, Bitcoin traded near $78,015 at 09:45 UTC, down less than 0.01% over the preceding 24 hours.
The totals track net ETF share creations and redemptions, rather than exchange trading volume or forced closures of leveraged crypto positions.
