Bitcoin ETFs Draw $524.8 Million as Ether Funds Snap Outflow Streak
- U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $524.8 million in net inflows on Oct. 21.
- BlackRock and Fidelity led the market gains by attracting $447.7 million combined.
- Ether funds turned positive with $14.9 million despite outflows from BlackRock's fund.
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) drew $524.8 million in net inflows on Oct. 21, up sharply from $23.2 million a day earlier as BlackRock and Fidelity led the gains.
Ether funds also turned positive, adding $14.9 million after five consecutive sessions of net withdrawals. Their recovery came despite another day of outflows from BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA).
BlackRock and Fidelity Lead Bitcoin’s Inflow Rebound
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) attracted $235 million, while the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) brought in $212.7 million, Farside Investors’ data show. Together, they accounted for $447.7 million, or about 85% of the group’s net inflow.
Bitcoin funds have now recorded three consecutive positive sessions. Combined net inflows for Oct. 19–21 reached about $1.07 billion.
Only IBIT and FBTC recorded net inflows on Oct. 20. On Oct. 21, seven Bitcoin funds recorded positive flows. No Bitcoin fund in Farside’s table recorded a net outflow for the session.
The Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC) added $32.6 million and Bitwise’s BITB gained $19.2 million. BITB returned to net inflows after losing $10.3 million in the preceding session. ARK 21Shares’ ARKB received $9.8 million, the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF (BTC) added $8.2 million and Franklin’s EZBC took in $7.3 million.
Ether Inflows Offset Another ETHA Withdrawal
The Grayscale Ethereum Staking Mini ETF (ETH) led Ether inflows with $28.1 million, followed by the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) at $13 million. Bitwise’s ETHW and Franklin’s EZET each added $900,000, while Morgan Stanley’s MSSE received $1.3 million.
Those five funds attracted a combined $44.2 million. That was enough to offset $29.3 million leaving ETHA and produce the group’s $14.9 million net gain, Farside’s figures show.
ETHA was the only Ether fund to record a net withdrawal on Oct. 21. Five other funds reported zero net flows. Its latest outflow followed $33 million in redemptions the previous day, bringing its two-session withdrawals to $62.3 million.
Wednesday’s inflow ended five consecutive sessions of net withdrawals totaling $388.9 million. Ether funds’ previous positive session was Oct. 13, when they attracted $24.8 million.
Despite Wednesday’s inflow, Ether funds recorded $114.5 million in net outflows across the first three sessions of the week.
