PONS Hits Record $0.52 After Binance Alpha Listing
Pons (PONS) reached a fresh all-time high near $0.52 after Binance Alpha added the token for trading on September 2. PONS later traded around $0.50, up about 21.9% over 24 hours, while its market capitalization reached roughly $362 million.
The rally coincided with a weaker session for the broader crypto market, where total market capitalization fell more than 2% to around $2.26 trillion. Bitcoin and Ether were also trading lower during the period, making PONS one of the stronger-performing tokens tracked during the session.
Binance Alpha Adds PONS for Trading
Binance Wallet announced that PONS and FLORK had been added to Binance Alpha on September 2. PONS is currently available only through Binance Alpha 1.0, where users can trade it with market and limit orders.
Binance Wallet said that the Pons is available on Binance Alpha 1.0 only. The announcement confirmed access to the token but did not indicate that PONS would receive a listing on Binance’s main spot exchange.
PONS Trading Activity Rises on Robinhood Chain
PONS is the token associated with Pons, a non-custodial launchpad for creating and trading fixed-supply tokens on Robinhood Chain. The platform says transactions are submitted directly through users’ wallets rather than assets being held in custody by Pons.
Onchain activity was also elevated around the Binance Alpha debut. A Dune dashboard cited by BeInCrypto showed PONS recording 95,969 trades from 8,014 wallets over a 24-hour period, generating about $64.94 million in trading volume.
Record Price Follows Binance Alpha Debut
PONS had generated more than $702 million in cumulative trading volume across over 2.1 million transactions and 66,000 unique traders, according to the same tracking data. Those figures show that the token had already recorded significant trading activity before and around its addition to Binance Alpha.
The timing of the record high coincided with the Binance Alpha listing, but the available data do not establish that the listing alone caused the price increase. PONS remained close to its new peak after the initial move, while subsequent trading will show whether the higher price and volume levels persist.
