Binance Schedules More Withdrawals Across Nine Networks After $6.3 Billion Hack
- Binance expanded its phased withdrawal reopening for additional assets on nine networks.
- The rollout depends on security checks and prioritizes tokens based on user demand.
- Binance reported covering approximately 95 percent of the affected amount through replacement purchases.
Binance scheduled withdrawals for additional assets across nine networks from 9:30 a.m. IST on Nov. 3, expanding it’s phased reopening after the $6.3 billion hack. The rollout follows the first reopening phase on Nov. 1, with availability dependent on security checks for each asset and network.
Additional Tokens Enter Withdrawal Rollout
The latest phase covers selected assets on BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, XRP Ledger, Sui, Arbitrum, Optimism, TRON, and Base. The list includes RLUSD on Ethereum and XRP Ledger, USDC on Sui, and additional Solana tokens including PUMP, RENDER, and JUP.
These networks overlap with the first phase, so the expansion adds token access rather than nine entirely new withdrawal routes. Binance cleared that not all listed assets would become available simultaneously and advised customers to check their selected token and network on its withdrawal page.
It was prioritizing tokens based on user demand over the preceding week. Customers may encounter temporary delays or longer processing times during the rollout as traffic increases.
Binance Reports 95% Asset Replacement
In its Nov. 1 recovery update, Binance stated that it had covered approximately 95% of the affected amount. It was buying replacement tokens through market and over-the-counter transactions, with the remaining assets taking longer to source because of lower liquidity.
Those purchases restore assets backing customer balances; they are separate from recovering cryptocurrency held by the attacker. Binance previously reported approximately $3 billion frozen on-chain,, and it was working with law enforcement and industry partners to recover funds.
Binance reiterated that it would absorb the financial impact rather than pass losses to users. The exchange cleared that the replacement funding would come from its Secure Asset Fund for Users, known as SAFU, and corporate treasury.
Reserve Proof Covers Oct. 31 Balances
Binance had completed the cryptographic proof for its Oct. 31 reserve snapshot, covering ten assets including Bitcoin, Ether, USDT, USDC, and RLUSD. Binance cleared that the customers can verify that their balances were included in that snapshot and that the covered assets were backed at least one-to-one at that time.
The next reserve report is intended to expand token coverage beyond those ten assets. Binance plans another snapshot covering additional tokens on Nov. 4, with proof generation expected to take 40 to 50 hours.
