Circle Brings USDC and EURC Payments Into SAP Cloud ERP
- Circle partnered with Tereina to integrate USDC and EURC stablecoin payments into SAP Cloud ERP.
- The integration launches via SAP Pay, an embedded payment service introduced on Oct. 6.
- Tereina and Circle will run proof-of-value enterprise trials over the coming months.
Circle has partnered with SAP-backed payments company Tereina to bring USDC and EURC into SAP Cloud ERP, letting eligible businesses send and receive stablecoin payments without leaving their existing enterprise software.
The integration runs through SAP Pay, a new embedded payment service launched by Tereina on Oct. 6. USDC will support eligible dollar-denominated transactions, while EURC will provide a euro-denominated payment option.
SAP Pay Adds Stablecoins to Existing Finance Workflows
SAP Pay is built directly into SAP Cloud ERP and lets finance teams initiate payments from the same system they use to manage invoices, purchase orders and treasury operations.
The service supports traditional rails including ACH, electronic funds transfers, wires, and checks alongside stablecoin payments.
It also automatically reconciles transactions with their originating invoice or purchase order, reducing the need to move between banking portals and separate crypto payment systems. SAP says the platform covers 89 international payment corridors and more than 40 currencies.
Circle Integration Adds USDC and EURC Settlement
Businesses using the Circle integration can access stablecoin settlement through SAP Pay while keeping their existing finance approval processes. USDC provides a dollar-denominated option for supplier and other business payments, while EURC offers a euro-backed alternative.
SAP Pay has a native connection to Circle, allowing eligible customers to access Circle infrastructure without building a separate stablecoin integration.
The service also uses SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity for communication with traditional financial institutions, giving companies access to fiat and digital payment rails through the same workflow.
Enterprise Trials Will Test USDC and EURC Over the Coming Months
Tereina and Circle plan to run proof-of-value programs with enterprise customers over the coming months and train treasury and payments teams on using stablecoins inside existing business processes.
SAP is also developing SAP Pay for agent-driven payments, with Joule AI agents expected to support approved payment execution in future versions.
For now, the next stage is enterprise testing of USDC and EURC for supplier payments, treasury operations and cross-border settlement inside SAP Cloud ERP.
