Wanye Kest-Linked Wallet Sends $3.9M in ETH to Binance After 11 Months
- A wallet tracked as belonging to crypto trader Wanye Kest transferred 1,445 ETH worth about $3.91 million to Binance on Sept. 29.
- The tracked wallet withdrew the ETH from decentralized lending protocol Aave before sending the assets to Binance after an 11-month gap.
- Reports identifying the wallet owner as rapper Kanye West remain unverified, and the transfer itself does not show the ETH was sold.
A wallet tracked by onchain analysts as belonging to crypto trader Wanye Kest transferred 1,445 ETH, worth about $3.91 million, to Binance on Sept. 29. Onchain trackers described the transaction as the wallet’s first ETH deposit to an exchange since October 2025.
Several reports identified the wallet owner as rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye. Available public wallet labels, however, do not establish that connection.
Wallet Moves ETH From Aave to Binance
Onchain tracking showed the wallet withdrawing roughly 1,445 ETH from decentralized lending protocol Aave before sending the assets to Binance. The transfer ended an approximately 11-month period without a comparable exchange deposit from the tracked wallet.
Onchain analysts estimated that addresses associated with the trader still held about $26.7 million in crypto assets after the transaction.
Exchange Deposit Does Not Confirm a Sale
Moving Ether to a centralized exchange can make the assets available for trading, collateral or other account activity. The transfer itself does not show that the ETH was sold. No subsequent transaction cited by the trackers confirmed a disposal at the time of the initial reports.
The reason for moving the assets from Aave to Binance was also not publicly disclosed.
Kanye West Attribution Remains Unverified
The Ethereum address wanyewest69.eth is publicly labeled under that name on Etherscan. Historical onchain reporting has separately tracked Wanye Kest (@Wanyewest69) as an active crypto trader.
That history does not provide evidence that the wallet belongs to Kanye West. The distinction is important because reporting the transfer as a transaction by the rapper would require verified attribution beyond the similarity between the “Wanye Kest” identity and West’s name.
Wallet Activity Draws Attention After Long Gap
The Sept. 29 transaction drew attention because it was a large exchange transfer following nearly a year without similar activity from the tracked trader.
For now, the confirmed development is the movement of 1,445 ETH to Binance. Any claim that the assets belong to Kanye West, or that the deposit represents a planned sale, remains unverified.
