Velocity Raises Series A to $48M at $200M Valuation
Stablecoin infrastructure startup Velocity has added $10 million to its Series A, taking the round to $48 million and giving the London-based company a $200 million post-money valuation.
Visa Ventures, Circle Ventures, Ripple, Haun Ventures, Translink Capital and Mirana Ventures joined the extension. Including a $10 million pre-seed disclosed in 2025, Velocity has now raised about $58 million.
Visa and Circle Join $10M Series A Extension
Velocity’s original $38 million Series A was co-led by Dragonfly and FirstMark, with Activant Capital, Capital One Ventures, QED Investors, Coinbase Ventures, Wintermute Ventures and Ripple participating.
The latest extension adds Visa Ventures and Circle Ventures alongside several other crypto and fintech investors.
Ripple participated in both parts of the Series A. Velocity has not disclosed how much each investor contributed, and the company has not announced a token or public token financing tied to the raise.
Velocity Targets Bank and Enterprise Stablecoin Settlement
Founded in 2025, Velocity provides payments and treasury infrastructure for businesses moving between bank accounts, fiat currencies and stablecoins.
Its platform supports cross-border settlement, liquidity management, foreign exchange and programmable treasury operations, including USDC balances alongside traditional banking rails.
Velocity says the infrastructure can reduce the need for businesses to pre-fund accounts across multiple markets by moving capital when settlement is required.
MVB Pilot Connects Velocity Infrastructure to Visa Direct
The funding extension follows a Sept. 9 partnership between Velocity and MVB Financial tied to a Visa Direct stablecoin settlement pilot.
Under the arrangement, MVB can use stablecoins to fund and settle eligible push-to-card payouts through Velocity’s infrastructure. The pilot provides a bank deployment alongside Velocity’s new strategic investors.
Velocity plans to use the Series A funding to expand its banking and payments network, develop products and add regulatory capabilities. The company has not disclosed its revenue or transaction volume.
