Polymarket has appointed veteran finance executive Warren Jenson as its first chief financial officer as the prediction market company expands its regulated U.S. exchange and global platform. Jenson previously served as CFO of Amazon, Electronic Arts, Delta Air Lines and NBC and will report directly to founder and CEO Shayne Coplan.

Jenson Will Lead Financial and Capital Strategy

Polymarket announced the appointment on Sept. 10. Jenson will lead Polymarket’s finance organization, capital strategy and long-term financial planning as the company expands. Coplan said:

“Warren has led finance at some of the most consequential companies in the world, and his experience will be critical to everything we build from here.”

Former Amazon CFO Brings Decades of Experience

Jenson joined Amazon in 1999 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Amazon filings show he previously held CFO roles at Delta Air Lines and NBC before joining the e-commerce company.

He later served as CFO of Electronic Arts and held senior leadership positions at LiveRamp and Nielsen. Most recently, Jenson was president and CFO of Nielsen from April 2023 through December 2024. He also serves on the boards of DigitalOcean, Dropbox and Ripple.

Polymarket Expands Regulated U.S. Business

Polymarket said Jenson joins as it scales Polymarket US, its CFTC-regulated exchange, while continuing to expand its separate global platform. Polymarket US operates through QCX LLC as a designated contract market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The international Polymarket platform operates separately from the CFTC-regulated Polymarket US exchange. U.S. users are directed to Polymarket US for regulated prediction-market trading.

The company has also been adding senior executives and new products while competition in prediction markets has increased. Earlier this year, former Uber executive Travis VanderZanden joined as chief growth officer.

Jenson Focuses on Capital Strategy and Scale

Jenson said his priorities will include capital strategy and financial discipline as Polymarket grows. He said,

“I’m joining Shayne and the leadership team to put the capital strategy and operating discipline in place to move quickly at scale and continue to push the frontier of this industry.”

Polymarket has not announced a financing transaction, IPO plan or other capital-markets event alongside Jenson’s appointment. His hiring gives the company its first CFO as it develops its financial organization and expands its regulated U.S. operations.
