Reform UK Tones Down Crypto Focus Ahead of Party Conference

Reform UK is giving cryptocurrency companies a lower profile at its 2026 annual conference while highlighting international and business participation. The conference runs from September 3 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham.

Representatives from almost a dozen countries are expected to attend, according to Reform honorary treasurer Nick Candy. The expected delegations include representatives from India, Italy, Hungary, Poland, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

Crypto Companies Take Lower Profile

Crypto companies do not appear on the latest conference sponsor list. That marks a change from 2025, when digital-payments company Zebec was a prominent backer, while industry perks including complimentary tickets and access to senior party figures have also been reduced, according to a person familiar with the arrangements.

The shift comes as Farage faces a parliamentary investigation over whether he should have declared £5 million received from crypto investor Christopher Harborne. The reduced conference presence does not necessarily signal a change in Reform’s broader policy toward digital assets. The party has previously accepted crypto donations, while Farage has publicly supported Bitcoin and other parts of the digital-asset industry.

Reform Highlights Diplomatic and Business Attendance

Reform is instead placing greater emphasis on diplomatic and corporate engagement at the Birmingham event. French National Rally leader Jordan Bardella is scheduled to speak, while companies expected to participate include Heathrow Airport, JCB, TikTok, and construction group Keltbray.

Candy said international engagement ahead of the conference had been extraordinary. He argued that the expected diplomatic attendance reflected growing international interest in the party.

The conference will also include Reform’s first dedicated business day on September 3. The conference will therefore place more visible emphasis on corporate and diplomatic participation, while crypto companies play a less prominent role than at last year’s gathering.
