Galaxy has partnered with industrial safety provider Total Safety to establish round-the-clock emergency services at its Helios data center campus in Dickens County, Texas.
The agreement will establish dedicated fire, rescue, paramedic, and EMT coverage as Galaxy expands Helios from its Bitcoin mining origins into a larger AI and high-performance computing campus.
Total Safety Will Provide 24/7 Fire, Rescue, and Medical Coverage
Total Safety will operate the professional emergency response capability at Helios while coordinating with existing fire and emergency medical teams serving Dickens County.
Galaxy said the on-site personnel will handle incidents originating at the campus. The teams also plan to train together and could assist with regional emergencies including grass fires and severe weather.
The service is intended to supplement rather than replace existing volunteer responders. Galaxy has not disclosed the contract value, staffing levels or when the full emergency team will begin operating.
Helios Sits About 60 Miles From Nearest Trauma Center
Galaxy said the nearest trauma center to Helios is about 60 miles away in Lubbock, reflecting the campus’s rural West Texas location.
The company expects having paramedics and EMTs on site to improve the initial response to workplace injuries and medical emergencies before patients require hospital transport.
Total Safety provides industrial fire protection, emergency response and safety services for high-risk facilities.
Helios Phase I Delivered 133 MW of Critical IT Capacity
Galaxy completed Helios Phase I in July, delivering 200 MW of gross power and 133 MW of critical IT capacity to CoreWeave under a 15-year lease.
Construction is underway on Phase II, which is expected to add another 260 MW of critical IT capacity. Galaxy expects deliveries to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
The emergency-services agreement adds dedicated safety infrastructure as construction and computing operations continue expanding at the Helios campus.
