Bitfinex Securities has completed a $50 million tokenized capital raise for metals company Alkemya, its largest fundraising through the platform to date.

The financing used ALKN, a digital security representing limited partnership interests in Luxembourg-based Alkemya Metacore SCSp, whose principal asset is a nickel stockpile independently valued at about $1.6 billion.

$50M ALKN Raise Tops Bitfinex Securities’ Previous $30M Record

The transaction surpasses Bitfinex Securities’ previous fundraising record, a $30 million raise for USTBL, a tokenized U.S. Treasury product issued under El Salvador’s Digital Assets framework.

Bitfinex Securities has now completed seven capital raises and listed 16 assets across government debt, corporate financing, Bitcoin mining exposure and other tokenized securities.

ALKN is Alkemya’s first tokenization project. Each token represents a fractional interest in the partnership rather than direct ownership of individual nickel inventory.

ALKN Partnership Holds $1.6B Nickel Stockpile in Switzerland

Alkemya Metacore holds 7,026,905 linear metres of 99.99% pure nickel wire at a vaulting facility in Lugano, Switzerland.

ASACERT independently valued the inventory at about $1.6 billion. Bitfinex says independent inspectors have also verified the existence and quantity of the nickel.

The ALKN offering has a minimum investment of $120,000 and is available through Bitfinex Securities.

ALKN Offering Remains Open Through October 15

Alkemya plans to use proceeds for working capital and the development and commercialization of engineered nickel products.

The completed $50 million tranche does not close the wider offering. Additional ALKN tokens remain available to eligible investors through Bitfinex Securities until October 15.

Secondary trading is not expected to begin until at least the next fundraising tranche has been completed.
