Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest sold Robinhood shares across two trading sessions while adding to its position in AI infrastructure company CoreWeave. Based on market prices for the two sessions, the trades were worth an estimated $23.7 million in Robinhood sales and $27.8 million in CoreWeave purchases. Across Oct. 6 and 7, ARK sold 215,349 Robinhood shares and purchased 312,228 CoreWeave shares. The transactions affected several of the firm’s actively managed exchange-traded funds.

ARK Adds CoreWeave Across Two Funds

ARK bought 97,639 CoreWeave shares on Oct. 6 before purchasing another 214,589 shares the following day. The Oct. 7 trades included 143,673 shares for the ARK Innovation ETF and 70,916 shares for the ARK Next Generation Technology ETF.

CoreWeave provides cloud infrastructure centered on graphics processors and other computing systems used for AI training and inference.

ARK says its actively managed funds may adjust holdings as portfolio weights, valuations, and investment views change.

Robinhood Sales Continue for Second Day

ARK sold 63,446 Robinhood shares on Oct. 6 and another 151,903 shares through ARKK on Oct. 7. Based on market prices around the trades, the combined sales were worth about $23.7 million.

The sales alone do not indicate that ARK has changed its longer-term view of Robinhood. An ARK research note published shortly before the transactions highlighted the brokerage’s expansion into AI tools, institutional services and other financial products.

CoreWeave Expands in India

ARK’s purchases came as CoreWeave announced plans to enter India through a collaboration with AdaniConneX. The company plans 240 megawatts of data-center capacity in Navi Mumbai, with the first phase expected to become available in mid-2028.

CoreWeave COO Sachin Jain said the company sees India as an important market for AI infrastructure.

“India has the talent, developers, and ambition to become a major center of AI innovation.”

The planned facilities are expected to deploy Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform, with additional capacity scheduled to come online in stages.

Trades Reflect ARK’s Active Management

The Robinhood sales and CoreWeave purchases were separate portfolio adjustments rather than a disclosed one-for-one switch between the two stocks. ARK regularly changes individual positions across its actively managed funds.

The latest trades added to ARK’s CoreWeave holdings while trimming part of its Robinhood position. They do not, on their own, establish a broader change in the firm’s fintech or crypto-related investment strategy.
