Boyaa Interactive has bought about 205 Bitcoin for HK$110 million, or $14.3 million, lifting the Hong Kong-listed gaming company’s holdings to approximately 4,316 BTC.
The purchases were completed through open-market transactions between June 24 and September 4 using idle cash generated from operations. Boyaa’s average acquisition cost across its Bitcoin holdings now stands at about $68,280 per BTC.
$14.3M Bitcoin Purchase Was Funded With Operating Cash
Boyaa executed the transactions through regulated and licensed trading platforms at prevailing market prices. The company did not use debt or issue shares to finance the purchases.
The transaction was classified as discloseable under Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules because the applicable percentage ratios exceeded 5% but remained below 25%.
Boyaa said the purchases were separate from another Bitcoin acquisition mandate approved by shareholders at its June 18 annual general meeting.
Boyaa Bitcoin Hholdings Rise to About 4,316 BTC
The latest purchases extend a Bitcoin accumulation strategy Boyaa began in 2023. The company has also converted Ether into Bitcoin. In November 2024, it exchanged about 14,200 ETH for roughly 515 BTC, taking its holdings at the time to approximately 3,183 BTC.
Boyaa says virtually all of its Bitcoin is held with institutional custodians using controls including cold storage and multisignature authorization. Its latest purchases bring the company’s disclosed Bitcoin balance to approximately 4,316 BTC.
Boyaa Plans to Deploy Another 1,700–1,900 BTC Through 2028
Boyaa is also using portions of its Bitcoin holdings in Web3 operations rather than keeping the entire balance as a passive treasury reserve. The company has disclosed allocations to Boyaa Network and MTT Network staking, as well as liquidity supporting YAAKO Wallet’s cross-chain bridge.
Boyaa also plans to deploy another 1,700 to 1,900 BTC across staking, wallet liquidity, gaming rewards and investments through 2028. The company has not disclosed whether additional Bitcoin purchases will follow the latest 205 BTC acquisition.
