Havenex Seeks Austrian Authorization as Series A Nears Close
Vienna-based Havenex is seeking authorization from Austria’s Financial Market Authority as it develops institutional crypto infrastructure for banks, fintechs, and asset managers.
The company is not yet authorized to provide regulated services. Supervisory board member Konstantinos Chalkias said Havenex’s Series A financing is underway and “closing soon,” although no amount, valuation or participating investors have been disclosed.
Austrian Authorization Remains Pending Before Regulated Launch
Havenex says its platform is in active development and is going through the FMA authorization process. Regulated services will not be provided before authorization, and its initial offering is intended only for professional and institutional clients.
Austria’s official company register shows Havenex AG was registered in Vienna on March 11 with €100,000 in share capital. Grigorios Siourounis is its sole management board member, while Konstantinos Chalkias, Adeniyi Olalekan Abiodun and Petros Pyloridis sit on the supervisory board.
Havenex has not publicly detailed the individual regulatory permissions covered by its application or announced when it expects the FMA process to finish.
White-Label Platform Targets Banks, Fintechs and Asset Managers
Havenex is building white-label infrastructure that financial institutions can integrate into their own products rather than sending customers to a separate retail exchange.
Its planned offering includes institutional custody, trading, brokerage and yield-generating products, alongside compliance and reporting infrastructure. Havenex says institutions will retain their own customer-facing brands while its platform operates behind the scenes.
Chalkias said the platform will use Sui technology where appropriate while supporting a multichain architecture rather than operating exclusively within one blockchain ecosystem. He and Abiodun are co-founders of Mysten Labs, the developer behind Sui.
Series A Amount, Valuation, and Investors Remain Undisclosed
Chalkias has described Havenex’s Series A as nearing completion, but the company has not announced its fundraising target, valuation or participating investors.
That leaves two separate milestones ahead. Havenex still needs to complete its financing and obtain Austrian authorization before regulated institutional services can begin.
The company has not announced a commercial launch date. Its next confirmed developments will be completion of the Series A and any decision by the FMA on its authorization application.
